Job Title: Technical Business Development Manager

Salary/Rate: £40,000 - £45,000 plus bonus of £15-20k

Job Description:

Due to an increase in contract awards, a significant forward order workload, and a dedication to continued profitable, ambitious and long term growth across the UK, our client is now seeking to appoint a Technical Sales / Business Development Manager for the Residential division. The role will provide total sales, marketing and business development support to the Commercial Director, and will lead the management and development of new and existing Clients. This will be successfully achieved through effective engagement and servicing of associated Clients, and a focus upon maintaining net margins, whilst liaising closely with the senior management team in providing regular business reporting in regard to all sales / business development matters.


The Role


 As Sales / Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the ongoing development and continued success with both existing and new clients within the residential, domestic / social housing, local authority, housing association, architects / specifiers and house building / development markets, whilst helping to develop and secure new project / tender opportunities


 As Sales / Business Development Manager you will possess demonstrable achievement within any area of the construction, surveying, building or housing sectors, whether this be products, contracts / projects or services, combined with the ability to nurture profitable relationships with a wide cross section of clients, whilst also providing appropriate technical advice / guidance wherever possible


 You will ideally be able to immediately contribute to the business, with an established understanding of the aforementioned sectors, as you will be required to manage your own workload effectively, including regularly progress reporting to the management in regards to any / all potential work opportunities


 As Sales / Business Development Manager you should be outgoing with excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills, and have the ability to form long term mutually beneficial and harmonious relationships with stakeholders of all levels


The Person


 You will be able to offer sales / business development expertise from working within the construction / building, surveying or housing sectors, and possess a proven success of offering appropriate solutions, then developing and securing profitable contracts, whether this be a product, contract / project or service based


 You will have demonstrable experience in a similar role within the aforementioned areas, clients and market sectors, alternatively applications would be welcomed from Building Engineers or Surveyors whom wish to apply their expertise to a different career direction
